This book is a summary of Dixie Deer Classic trophy deer records from North Carolina from 1981 through 2007. This summary represents a compilation of data from nearly 11,000 deer and over 100,000 data points collected over more than 25 years. Trophy deer are scored by the Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young methods. Deer that are entered in the statewide listings are scored by official scorers from the appropriate organization.

The records published are now recognized by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission as the official records of the State of North Carolina.
