This guide is a companion to the "All Things are Connected" video of an eloquent speech attributed to Chief Seattle of the Suquamish tribe. The goals of this guide are to:
- Familiarize you and your students with a famous environmental speech, long attributed to Chief Seattle;
- introduce the concept of an environmental or land ethic;
- explore beliefs and attitudes that American indians hold toward the environment;
- guide your students into becoming better stewards of the earth;
- motivate you to integrate environmental education materials and strategies into your curriculum;
- provide you with additional source of materials and information on related topics.
